Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Director, Technology Governance, to drive the development and implementation of the IT governance framework.  This role will oversee IT policies and procedures development, implementation, and monitoring and collaborate with IT to ensure project compliance with governance policies, procedures, standards and guidelines.  This role will also drive improvement in control compliance, help ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, and navigate audit and regulatory exams.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Administer, implement, and oversee the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, standards, and controls, across various IT domains (e.g., Asset, Inventory, Change Management).
  • Coordinate with other Technology functions (e.g., security, architecture, service management) to ensure alignment and integration of IT governance practices.
  • Proactively identify areas of IT governance deficiencies and work to develop and implement an improvement strategy/plan.
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards, working closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain robust control frameworks.
  • Ensure IT governance best practices are implemented as the organization advances its IT service management maturity.
  • Lead and support the identification, escalation, assessment, and mitigation of IT risks, driving continuous improvement in control compliance and procedures.
  • Build strong partnerships with key leaders, technology, information security and business partners, and internal and external audit entities, as appropriate.
  • Provide status tracking, updates and reporting to various levels of leadership.
  • Assist with regulatory, audit, and compliance exams, ensuring required information is provided promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CISA, CISM, ITIL) preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT governance, risk management, and control functions.
  • High-level knowledge of IT risks across application
