KW77 Korea Federal Division Field Service Organization that supports Mission Critical and Emergency 911 systems throughout the Republic of Korea.

Job Description

**Position located on Kunsan Air Base in South Korea**

The Field Service Technician, or FST, lead will be a working department manager responsible for subordinate technicians and the daily operations of the department. Candidates will be required to perform daily management tasks as well as any of the physical tasks required of the FSTs. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, presentation, and communications skills both orally and written. The FST lead will interface with numerous US military personnel as well as local nationals employed by the US military. The FST lead must also be able to teach and assist FSTs with programming, maintenance, and repair of a country-wide ASTRO P25 IV&D system with full IA certification.

Intermediate knowledge of master sites, management sites, remote RF sites, MC75000 dispatch sites, and subscriber products is a must have. Knowledge of MESH AP’s, giant/big voice alerting systems and ACE3600 fire alerting systems are a plus. The FST lead should also possess an intermediate knowledge of IT networks using STP, MRP, VLAN and VPN’s including but not limited to Cisco and Brocade Switches, Routers, and Servers utilizing Windows, Solaris, Redhat, and Linux operating systems. Complete knowledge of and ability to program and repair Motorola’s RF product line including Portables, Mobiles, Control Stations, and Repeaters.

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED with 2+ years of experience in Electronics Technician, System Technologist, System Manager, or Field Service
• Must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
