Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Assessment is responsible for overseeing academic assessment and support components of program evaluation. This position will develop assessment protocols and related faculty development, manage databases, compile assessment data and related analysis, and provide reports to stakeholders. The Assistant Director of Assessment will collaborate with faculty and staff to support data-driven curricular enhancements. manage databases, and analyze data across. Additional priority efforts of the position involve support of program evaluation to accomplish the vision of TCOP.
Collaborate with faculty and staff to develop policies and procedures related to curricular assessment practices. Provide guidelines and faculty development resources on item writing guidelines and make recommendations for enhancement that align with license exam format and style. Provide guidelines for formative and summative OSCEs and simulation-based learning.
Compile faculty question documents to support best practices using psychometrics, rigor level, and score distribution. Operationalize process for vetting questions before exam administration. Develop exam blueprints and collaborate with faculty to revise assessments and carry updates forward. Provide recommendations for item enhancement. Serve as the main point of contact for examination-related inquiries.
Collaborate with stakeholders on program evaluation initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten (10) years of related experience -OR- Master's degree and a minimum of seven (7) years of related experience
Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in education, business, or related field, and at least 5 years of experience in higher education and two years as a supervisor. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to convey data and findings clearly and concisely to multiple audiences. Experience with data management and analysis (analytics software). Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and activities independently.
Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree.

• (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree;
• (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;
• (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.
• Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310.
