What to Expect in This Role:

In your first 3-6 months, you'll work closely with our experienced team of entrepreneurs as an Energy Expert-in-Residence. During this time, you’ll leverage your deep industry knowledge and expertise to assess the feasibility of a business idea within the energy sector, while we provide the entrepreneurial support to turn it into a scalable company.

Here’s what you can expect:

• Apply Your Expertise: You’ll provide critical industry insights, technical expertise, and industry experience to validate the core concept and determine its potential impact within the energy sector.

• Guidance on Building a Business: KRING will equip you with the tools and expertise needed to build a solid foundation for your venture. This includes everything from structuring the business to developing a go-to-market strategy.

• Market Validation & Commercialization: We’ll help you test the market, identify potential partners, and evaluate the commercial viability of your idea, ensuring that you have the necessary feedback to create a product or service that resonates.

• Partnership and Network Development: You’ll gain access to a network of corporate partners and industry advisors who can accelerate the growth of your venture.

• Go-to-Market Strategy & Testing: We’ll guide you through testing market interest, refining your value proposition, and preparing the business for market entry.

If we mutually identify a validated business model with strong potential, we’ll provide pre-seed capital to help bring the company to life.

As a key member of the founding team, you’ll be responsible for shaping the future direction of the company, with the full support of KRING behind you.

Requirements

Your Expertise:

We're open to various areas of expertise within the energy sector, including but not limited to:

• Grid Flexibility: Expertise in grid stability, integrating renewable energy through Virtual Power Plants (VPPs), demand response platforms, or energy storage systems (ESS).

• Smart Buildings: Deep understanding of retrofitting, building energy efficiency, or potential applications of technology to optimize energy consumption.

• Electric Mobility: Experience with EV charging infrastructure, vehicle-to-grid/home (V2G/H) technologies, or solutions that accelerate sustainable transportation.

• Workforce Development: Experience in education, training platforms, or workforce solutions that addresses the skills gap in the energy sector.

• Your Vision: Bring your own groundbreaking energy ideas to the table!

Your Skills:

• Technical Expertise: A deep understanding of the energy industry and specific technical expertise in at least one of the areas above.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with energy sector regulations and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.

• Strong Communication: Ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and inspire others.

• Resilience and Drive: The ability to overcome challenges with unwavering determination and pivot when necessary.
