Essential Functions

  • Provides instruction and supervision in skills and techniques to enhance opportunities for physical, intellectual, cultural, social, and emotional learning and growth for individuals in custody through engagement in a wide variety of leisure programs including but not limited sports, exercise, art, reading, and music.
  • Coaches and supervises teams of individuals in custody in leisure activities.
  • Assists in the planning, coordinating, and scheduling of events.
  • Monitors the safety, security, and sanitation of all equipment utilized in leisure time services.
  • Monitors volunteers and individual in custody workers assigned to the leisure time services area.
  • Maintains tool and key control.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, with a Bachelor's degree in leisure studies, recreation, physical education, art education, fine arts, studio
