Job Details:

Purpose

Design, implement, test, document, and deploy software, and work with experts in the field to implement new technologies for national defense in the Signal and Information Sciences Laboratory (SISL).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a large C++ signal processing codebase.

  • Provide technical assistance to internal and external users of the codebase.

  • Assist in periodic test and integration of the codebase into external systems.

  • Design, develop, configure, test, and integrate other software to meet requirements.

  • Other related functions as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or other applied science

  • Three or more years' work experience developing C++ software

  • Work experience developing and debugging networked Linux applications (TCP, UDP, Unix domain sockets)

  • Good working knowledge of Linux-based operating systems

Applicant must have a dynamic skill set, willing to work with new technologies, be highly organized and capable of planning and coordinating multiple tasks and managing their time. The position will require attention to detail, effective problem solving skills and excellent judgment. Ability to work independently with sensitive and confidential information, maintain a professional demeanor, work as a team member without daily supervision and effectively communicate with all groups of clients. Able to work under pressure and accept supervision. Regular and punctual attendance.

US Citizen. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with MATLAB, Python, Java

  • Experience with acoustic signal processing and/or machine learning

  • Experience developing user interfaces, especially with Qt

  • Experience with CORBA and other middleware

  • Experience using git for version control

  • Experience virtualizing and/or containerizing network applications

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0

Salary Range

$93,000-$175,000
