Opportunity Overview
The Senior Accountant position will report to the Controller and be responsible for technical accounting issues, policies and procedures, finance special projects, SOX compliance, and supporting external financial reporting.
Locations: San Jose onsite preferred; open to Hybrid option

While accounting skills are a definite requirement for this role, the position offers the candidate an excellent opportunity to integrate those skills with insight and knowledge into Teradyne's manufacturing environment. This is a pivotal role that requires someone with attention to detail, eagerness to learn, and desire to contribute to the overall efficiency of the team. You will be a key member of a high performing accounting function supporting one of Teradyne’s businesses.

Manage month-end close process: ensure accurate and timely completion of journal entries, reconciliations, reports, and financial statements adhering to GAAP
- Support broader accounting & audit tasks: coordinate ad-hoc projects, assist with internal/external audits, and uphold company standards while providing support to business partners and management
- Assist with quarter end activities, such as accruals, journal entry processing, reconciliations, and consolidations
- Oversee fixed asset accounting: recording new assets, retirements, project costs & depreciation, reconciliations, and analyses upon management request
- Develop a solid understanding of the business process and GAAP to ensure accurate revenue recognition

- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA preferred
- 6+ years of related accounting experience; public company experience strongly preferred
- Multi-national / global company experience in technology, manufacturing or industrial industries
- Strong understanding of ASC-606 and international revenue recognition policies
