Job Description

Locus Robotics is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Sourcing Specialist who will report to the Director of Supply Chain. This person will fill a vital strategic sourcing role in our Supply Chain organization with a primary focus on reducing product cost and improving overall supply chain resiliency. The successful candidate will have an established career sourcing our key commodities, demonstrating year-over-year strategic cost reductions.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing industry experience and experience sourcing both domestically and internationally (EMEA & APAC). This person will bring a positive, “Can-do” attitude and enjoy thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic sourcing strategies to reduce product BOM cost
• Lead and contribute to cross-functional programs to implement cost-down and productivity improvements
• Actively participate in all NPI programs, lead supplier selection process/strategies
• Analyze supply base, identify risks and develop sourcing strategies to improve resiliency
• Facilitate supplier qualification, AVL, and Supplier Scorecard processes in close collaboration with Supplier Quality
• Negotiate contracts and long-term supply agreements (MSAs etc.)
• Support supplier shortage challenges by developing alternate sourcing options
• Support development and implementation of international procurement strategies (EMEA, APAC)
• Lead resolution of supplier commercial issues – quality, delivery & invoicing
• Support Buyers to maintain appropriate ERP inputs (Lead-Times, Standard Costs, Inventory Levels)
• Support all tactical sourcing inquiries company-wide
• Support ESG initiatives to ensure responsible sourcing of goods

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field preferred
• 7-10 Years relevant Sourcing/Procurement experience
• Demonstrated record of strategic year-over-year cost reductions, ability to provide references
• Extensive experience sourcing key commodities such as Electro-mechanical components, PCBAs, Motors, Sheet-Metal, Plastics, Castings, Extrusions
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings, CAD background a plus
• Demonstrated Advanced Excel skills
• Strong ERP and PLM Experience (NetSuite and Omnify a plus)
• Working knowledge of standard Quality Management Systems, experience supporting Supplier Quality
• Experience collaboratively sourcing with Contract Manufacturing vendor resources
• Experience sourcing goods internationally, familiar with EMEA and APAC regulations a plus
• Must thrive in fast-paced environment, experience working in start-up or medium size company preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project management skills 
• 50% travel, Globally, APAC, EMEA
