NBCUniversal is on the lookout for a technology leader to shape and drive our data and analytics strategy within the Operations and Technology (O&T) organization. Join us at NBCU to play a key role in shaping the future of media and entertainment as a Director, Data Analytics and BI Platforms within our Data & Analytics team. As a pivotal strategic partner, you will drive innovation and delivery of our cutting-edge business intelligence and analytic platforms.

Who We're Looking For: 

You have a solid background in designing, developing, and maintaining analytics platforms. If you're enthusiastic about embracing cloud-native practices and innovative approaches, this role is perfect for you. It involves collaborating across teams to ensure that our data analytics tools empower informed decision-making throughout the organization.

• Platform Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for analytics platforms aligned with our business objectives.
• Platform Innovation: Evaluate, implement, and optimize platforms, including but not limited to Tableau, Power BI, DOMO, and MicroStrategy, to meet strategic goals.
• Platform Development: Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of analytics platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance while managing costs.
• Platform Operation and Metrics: Establish key performance metrics, report progress to senior leadership, and drive improvements through data-driven insights. Create a culture of self service, automation, and pro-active operations.
• Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team of analytical and platform specialists, providing mentorship, guidance, and career development.
• Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to support the overall analytics platform ecosystem.
• Financial Management: Participle in the short- and long-term financial forecasts. Manage operational and capital yearly budgets. 
• Security and Compliance: Ensure data security, user security and compliance with relevant cyber standards.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand their analytics needs and provide solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering, mathematics, economics, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of progressive experience in data, analytics, and enterprise business intelligence solutions, including at least 8+ years managing enterprise data warehouses, data integration, and BI platforms (Tableau, Power BI, DOMOI, MicroStrategy, etc)  
• Hands on experience in migration of on prem services into the cloud. 
• Able to simplify complex technologies, data flows, and business processes into clear and concise communication for both executives and execution teams. 
• Strong communication skills to present to high-level executives on product statuses and to engage with product owners and development teams in day-to-day execution.
