Job Description

The Team

The Cash Commerce team brings everyday commerce activities into Cash App. Our aim is to connect businesses and consumers to help them both thrive. In 2021 we shipped Cash App Pay in the US, where Cash App customers can spend their money at Square merchants, and now other businesses, both in-person and online. We are now building out Shopping, Rewards, New Payment Experiences, and much more.

The Job

As part of the iOS engineering team for Cash Commerce, you’ll develop entirely new consumer and merchant-facing products, and enhance our existing ones. You will build platforms that scale to address high-priority product needs. Since the team is just getting started, you’ll also pave the way for the next era of the Commerce team’s product development strategies through design, execution, and maintenance of our new products. You will work with internal teams and external partners to ensure the solutions you develop deliver first-in-class products.

You will:

• Craft durable, well-tested code with an unwavering commitment to product quality
• Learn to craft gorgeous, pixel-perfect UI and animations
• Focus on all aspects of product quality, including in-depth metrics and monitoring.
• Deliver features to tens of millions of customers, shipping at a fast and exciting cadence
• Build new Commerce functionality into an app designed to provide real value to its customers

Qualifications

You have:

• Experience creating readable, well-crafted, and maintainable code
• Experience voicing customer feedback into product solutions (engineering makes substantive contributions to product definition)
• A commitment to continuous improvement (yourself, your teammates, your software)

Additional Information

Block takes a market-based approach to pay, and pay may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are categorized into one of four zones based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Zone A: USD $167,300 - USD $204,500
Zone B: USD $158,900 - USD $194,300
Zone C: USD $150,600 - USD $184,000
Zone D: USD $142,200 - USD $173,800
