About the role

The Accounts Payable (AP) Region Lead position is a leadership role focused on maximizing revenue and cash flow while enhancing the North America Accounts Payable cycle. This role drives process improvement, fosters collaboration across Procurement and Finance teams, and builds key business relationships internally and externally. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility of remote work, requiring just four in-office days per month at our Grand Rapids, MI location.

 

As the Accounts Payable Region Lead, you will be accountable for delivering results aligned with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) objectives, conducting root cause analysis for past due invoices, and identifying strategic opportunities for process improvements. Your ability to build relationships with internal teams and senior stakeholders will drive operational effectiveness and ensure efficiency throughout the Accounts Payable process.

 

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

 

  • Strategic Leadership - Drive the evolution of Accounts Payables processes within and outside of Global Business Services (GBS), focusing on productivity plans, automation roadmaps, and process simplifications to enhance cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement - Build and foster strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Supply Chain, CFOs, Directors, and senior managers, to identify trends, propose strategies, and resolve Accounts Payables issues.
  • Operational Efficiency – Drive adherence to accounting policies, frameworks, and standards, including GAAP, SOX, and audit requirements.  Analyze key performance reports to identify trends, ensure budget alignment, and implement proactive solutions.  Champion a continuous improvement culture to optimize processes and challenge the status quo.
  • Team Management – Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering continuous learning, skills development, and alignment with organizational goals.  Cultivate a culture of operational excellence and financial accountability.  Effectively manage and collaborate with third-party teams to ensure seamless integration and results.

 

We’re Looking for Someone With

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • Experience in Supply Chain, Finance/Information Technology (IT) strategic execution, shared services, or service center environments.
  • Demonstrated experience as a business-facing partner with strong interpersonal and collaboration abilities.
  • Record of leading large teams and driving transformative, large-scale change initiatives.
  • Proficiency in analytics, with a Lead Six Sigma certification and a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Familiarity with AP management systems such as SAP, Winshuttle, and Celonis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of finance and accounting principles, including balance sheets and reconciliations.

 

Compensation

 

The annual salary range is $137,760 - $172,200, which is based on various factors such as location, experience and skill. Discretionary bonuses based on company and individual performance are also available.
