Job Description

As Product Owner at OpenBet you will be a subject matter expert who cares passionately about sports and betting. You will be responsible for sharing the sprint vision with Agile teams and ensuring that sprint goals are met, while executing the product feature roadmap and be a deciding point for priorities of the work items that enable our organization to achieve it’s business objectives. 

As part of the Product Management team, you will be responsible for introducing or/ and transforming epics/ themes to Acceptance Criteria, that can be broken down as work items and snapped in team sprints and deliver value to the final product.  

What you will be working on: 

• Manage the day to day ownership of new and existing products across our Core Betting Content product Vertical 

• Keep abreast of the sports betting industry, proactively monitoring the product to ensure the product suite provides a competitive offering. 

• Define user stories and prioritize the team backlog on sprint level ensuring that this is properly planned and all stories are fully elaborated with the help of Business Analysts. 

• Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals . 

• Helping the Scrum teams to plan and improve their ways of working through retrospectives. 

• Collaborating with developers and understanding the scope of technical enabling works. 

• Participating in the team demo and retrospectives and share findings with rest of stakeholders.  

• Attending daily Scrum meetings and ensuring the developers are working efficiently and on the right items. 

• Organizing Product Backlog Refinement sessions. 

• Responsible for representing the interests of the product with development team. 

Qualifications

You are an experienced professional in the Sportsbetting space, and have a Product or Trading or Engineering / Data Science background.  You are not afraid to push boundaries, bring new ideas to internal and external stakeholders and deliver. 

What You’ll Bring: 

• Experience within the Sports betting industry and a passion for Sports. 

• Solid knowledge of the Sports betting market (retail and digital), ideally including B2B supplier experience. 

• Understanding of the importance of Product metrics and data-driven decision making. 

• Ability to stand out in Customer related events and present the product features or assist customer on fleshing out needs and adaptations needed. 

• Previous experience in Sport Pricing engines, pricing quality, and trading awareness will be considered
