Assisted Living Certified Nursing Assistant

Work under the supervision of assisted Living Operator and/or Assisted Living Charge Nurse to provide supportive care to Bethany Home Assisted Living residents. Assist residents with all aspects of ADLs, personal hygiene as needed. May be expected to take vital signs. Observe any changes in resident condition and report those changes to Charge Nurse.

Understand and maintain confidentiality.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

State of Kansas Nurse’s Aide Certification.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge and practice of Bethany Home safety procedures, and infection control practices. Understanding of Bethany Home policies on abuse prevention policy, resident’s rights and confidentiality. Ability to organize and prioritize tasks. Ability to follow and carry out requests of charge nurse.

1. Have knowledge of, and perform tasks outlined in, individual care plan of assigned residents.
2. Assist residents in activities of daily living, as needed
3. Understand and maintain confidentiality.
4. Understand Bethany Home’s policies on abuse prevention, safety, fire safety, severe weather safety.
5. Implement infection control practices according to Bethany Home policy.
6. Document accurately according to Bethany Home policy.
7. Complete in-service training as assigned.
8. Understand computer charting system and use it according to Bethany Home policy.
9. Accountable for the all skills on skills checklist.
10. All other assigned duties.
