Responsibilities
Peraton is seeking a SharePoint Team Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). The ideal candidate is responsible for overseeing the Microsoft SharePoint on-premise and online environment. The SharePoint Team Lead will supervises small team of SharePoint administrators responsible for administering user profiles, data storage and customization options. The ideal candidate will manage a large and complex projects, including leading cross-functional teams and coordinating with stakeholders.
Day to Day Work Responsibilities:
- Lead training sessions about the program's features and use.
- Provide guidance to organization leaders regarding IT infrastructure elements, which can help the organization run SharePoint easily.
- Lead ongoing professional development seminars for individual departments to help employees use the program more efficiently.
- Work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Work with vendors for third-party tools and services, and collaborating with stakeholders (management, business units, other IT teams) to align SharePoint solutions with organizational needs.
- Mentor junior team members, assigning tasks, and ensuring project milestones are met.Gathers and analyzes requirements from stakeholders, including assessing business needs and translating them into technical requirements.
- Lead SharePoint-related projects (e.g., migrations, upgrades, or new installations), from initial planning to execution and post-deployment support.
- Designs, develops, and implements portal and SharePoint solutions, including custom solutions and integrated third-party solutions.
- Performs scripted installations, configuring, STIG’ing and securing a farm environment.
- Perform SharePoint Central Administration, Shared Services, Managed Metadata, Enterprise Services, STSADM commands, PowerShell scripting and how the services and functions affect the entire SharePoint farm.
- Works closely with Windows team for monitoring and managing server health and functionality, access permissions, usage, events, and messages, and ensuring the environment conforms to governance requirements and security standards.
- Troubleshoots the server administration side as well as the customer facing side of the SharePoint and other web environments.
- Gathers and analyzes requirements from stakeholders, including assessing business needs and translating them into technical requirements.
- Implements security controls for SharePoint and portal solutions, including secure authentication and authorization methods.
- Able to install a SharePoint system for an organization, allowing different departments to host resources on SharePoint sites.
- Provide guidance to organization leaders regarding IT infrastructure elements, which can help the organization run SharePoint easily.
- Able to customize an organization's SharePoint network, the administrator might use their knowledge of the organization's needs and organizational structure to customize the network. They might add or hide certain functions and adjust the permissions of different departments.
- Able to maintain an organization's SharePoint network involving monitoring the central server's bandwidth to ensure that employees can access resources quickly.
- Able to develop and compile user reports to identify times of high traffic and adjust the network's settings to avoid throttling.
- Able to troubleshoot and resolve if employees experience difficulties logging on to a SharePoint site or downloading resources, to troubleshooting and resolving widespread problems, like a server crashing.
- May work outside a traditional work schedule to support the needs of the customer.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years’ experience or Associate’s degree and 7 years’ experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
- US citizenship required. Ability to obtain an Entry On Duty/Public Trust clearance
- Prior experience managing or leading a team of SharePoint engineers or administrators.
- Proven experience in architecting large-scale SharePoint solutions, including planning the SharePoint farm, integrating third-party solutions, and designing secure, scalable environments.
- Project Management experience leading SharePoint-related projects.
- Vendor and Stakeholder Management experience.
- Microsoft Certified: SharePoint Administrator Associate.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (for those working with SharePoint Online or hybrid environments).
