GENERAL FUNCTION

Volunteers of America Western Washington (VOAWW) seeks a dynamic, service-oriented Site Director to lead daily operations and community partnerships at the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center (LNC). This role fosters a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for clients, nonprofit partners, and the broader community.

As the primary onsite contact, the Site Director ensures the Lynnwood Neighborhood Center (LNC) runs efficiently, reflects community values, prioritizes safety, maximizes revenue potential, and cultivates strong collaboration among tenants and partners.

Key responsibilities include staff supervision, facilities coordination, vendor and partner engagement, space rentals, community outreach, fiscal oversight, and compliance with funder expectations. A strong focus on building community, cultural humility, and collaboration is essential.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES

Leadership & Community Engagement

  • Foster an inclusive, and culturally responsive LNC culture.
  • Supervise and support front desk staff to ensure positive client experiences.
  • Serve as liaison between VOAWW, nonprofit partners, and community stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular “building walks” to assess engagement, collaboration, and facility conditions and needs.
  • Host tours, lead monthly partner meetings, and represent LNC in community and stakeholder gatherings.

Facility & Operations Management

  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operations of the LNC, including office, event, and kitchen rentals.
  • Oversee safety, cleanliness, and curb appeal of shared spaces, grounds, and facilities.
  • Coordinate with VOAWW infrastructure team and vendors for timely resolution of maintenance, security, and technical issues.
  • Maintain shared calendars for room use and ensure effective scheduling systems.
  • Promote and model safety practices appropriate for a multi-use, multi-generational facility serving children (including preschool/youth), families, seniors, and individuals receiving wellness and mental health services.
  • Lead and support emergency preparedness planning and staff/partner training in alignment with safety protocols and community needs.

Financial Oversight & Rentals

  • Maximize revenue by promoting rentals and onboarding mission-aligned partners.
  • Draft and manage rental contracts, norm agreements, and related documentation.
  • Monitor budget performance and submit timely accurate reports, invoices, and variance updates.
  • Collect rental payments and communicate financial expectations, community guidelines and policies.
