The Company: McKinley is a highly respected welfare organization with a comprehensive array of programs and services – which touch nearly 1,800 lives annually – including short term residential treatment program (STRTP), Foster Care, Adoptions, Mental Health Services, and Special Education. The Position: This position enhances community outreach by assisting clients and families in connecting with vital resources, including mental health services. Additionally, this role involves providing information about the resources offered through McKinley's programs.

Compensation and Benefits:

The pay range we’re offering is $21.00 - $23.00 hourly depending (Based) on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Case Management experience highly preferred
  • Bilingual skills highly preferred
  • Flexible hours consistent with the needs/availability of individuals in the community
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Maintains a non-judgmental attitude toward families
  • Maintains required licenses and certifications to perform role
  • Microsoft Office
  • General Office Skills
  • Must pass pre-employment physical exam, TB and drug screening
  • Ability to commute to various sites throughout the community
  • Ability to lift at least 10 pounds for filing, boxes, and packages
  • Ability to sit for several hours performing clerical functions
  • Strong interpersonal skills/ability to relate to people with respect for their individuality in a non-judgmental manner and maintaining confidentiality in daily operations
  • Experience in working with culturally diverse communities and families with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate
  • DOJ, FBI, Child Abuse Index
  • Insurability under Corporate Automobile Insurance

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with community partners.
  • Assist individuals in accessing mental health and other essential services.
  • Screen and assess the needs of applicants.
  • Establish and sustain connections with community resources.
  • Support individuals in completing referrals for:
    • Mental Health Services
    • Healthcare services
    • Legal assistance
    • Document assistance/translation
    • Food banks
    • Clothing assistance
    • Other identified needs
  • Participate in community fairs and outreach events.
