Technical Program Manager, Advanced Hardware Manufacturing

The Technical Program Manager (TPM) role in the Advanced Hardware Manufacturing Operations team at Zoox will be responsible for new product introductions of hardware in the loop (HIL) and tester assets, ensuring product performance and owning the production plan. The role will manage the overall HIL production readiness, including resource allocation planning, production scheduling, incoming material readiness, and coordination between different production stages; starting from design and engineering, through Testing and validation, NPI, and manufacturing at scale. This includes aligning with the hardware in the loop team and the XOPS build team.

In this role, you will:

• Own the program for scaling the Hardware in the Loop (HIL) and Tester products
• Be responsible for supporting the coordination of HIL designs and NPI plans; oversee operations, planning, and execution of new builds
• Leverage Zoox knowledge across product design, engineering, PLM, NPI, supply chain, and manufacturing to manage the scaling of the products
• Provide oversight of HIL build readiness to achieve the production schedule which includes; monitoring design status/release dates, component availability, manufacturing readiness, and capacity planning
• Work cross-functionally with product engineering, manufacturing, test engineering, procurement, supplier, and quality teams to support build readiness
• Communicate overall engagement, project status, and risk clearly to internal management, calling out key issues
• Support design engineering and supply chain teams by ensuring testing milestones and first article approvals are included in the production plan.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or other technical discipline
• Experience with Hardware in the Loop testing or building testing assets
• 10+ years of combined relevant experience in the following domains: hardware design, new product introduction and hardware manufacturing
• Excellent project management skills including planning, communicating with stakeholders, setting expectations, problem-solving, and prioritizing
• Experience using various program management methodologies, practices, and tools to lead cross-functional projects to deliver high-impact strategic initiatives
• Demonstrated strong conceptual and planning skills to analyze projects of broad and diverse scope
• Ability to travel up to 10%

Bonus Qualifications:

• Prior experience in the Automotive field or other highly regulated industries

CompensationThere are three major components to compensation for this position: salary, Amazon Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and Zoox Stock Appreciation Rights. The salary range for this position is $131,000 to $216,000. A sign-on bonus may be offered as part of the compensation package. Compensation will vary based on geographic location and level. Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance.
