REQUIRES IN OFFICE 2 DAYS A WEEK IN SACRAMENTO or SAN FRANCISCO.As part of Sutter’s Center for AI, this role designs, builds, and maintains production data pipelines and dashboards that measure the safety, effectiveness, and equity of Sutter Health’s AI-enabled products. You will write complex SQL across Epic Clarity/Caboodle and other clinical, operational, and vendor datasets; engineer scalable data flows in Databricks (or comparable lakehouse/ETL environments); develop interactive visualizations in approved BI platforms; and automate monitoring and data-quality checks (Python preferred). Deep knowledge of Epic’s data model and healthcare quality metrics is essential. Working closely with AI governance analysts, data scientists and program managers, you will convert risk-monitoring requirements into reliable, auditable KPIs and evidence for clinical and executive stakeholders.

EDUCATION:
Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
- Bachelor's in Applied Statistics, Computer Analytics, Computer or related field
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
- 5 years recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Advanced knowledge of BI tools such as Microstrategy and Tableau
- Advanced knowledge of database programming and statistics
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- Expert knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) Server Reporting Service or other BI applications.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with clients, IS team members, management, and executive personnel/staff.
- Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities and prioritize assignments to complete work in a timely manner.
- Analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors.
- Perform a variety of duties and often change from one task to another of a different nature with frequent interruptions and/or distractions.
- Skilled in developing documentation at a technical and user level.

Pay Range is $57.69 to $86.53 / hour. San Francisco Bay Area Pay Range is $57.69 to $86.53 / hour. Sacramento Valley Area Pay Range is $50.16 to $75.24 / hour.The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
