Sr. Technical Writer/Graphics Support Specialist

Overview

• Tier One Technologies is seeking a Senior Technical Writer with experience in Graphics Support for our Department of Defense (DoD) client.
• This on-site position will be based in Dahlgren, VA or San Diego, CA.
• The role requires occasional travel between these locations, with the possibility of travel to Naples, Italy.
• Candidates must be US Citizens with active Secret security clearance and TS/SCI eligibility.
• SELECTED CANDIDATES WITHOUT REQUIRED CLEARANCE WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION TO RECEIVE IT.

Responsibilities

• Develop materials to support advanced tactical training, operational support, doctrine development, and capability assessment.
• Take the lead in generating innovative content ideas while working independently and collaboratively as part of a technical team supporting both networking and computing.
• Research products, services, technologies, and concepts to create documentation that is clear and easily understood by a broad internal audience.
• Perform graphic design tasks, including planning, layout, and illustration of technical or scientific materials.
• Collaborate with users to determine project scope and select the most effective graphic medium.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
• 5+ years of Technical Writing experience.
• 5+ years of recent experience creating high-quality graphics for presentations.
• Proficiency with Adobe software (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, Premiere) or equivalent programs.
• Recent experience teaching or developing BMD (Ballistic Missile Defense) or IAMD (Integrated Air and Missile Defense) doctrine, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP) preferred.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Active Secret DoD clearance with TS/SCI eligibility required.
