Senior Specialist, Business Alliance Support
The Senior Specialist, Business Alliance Support will be responsible for the calculation of amounts associated with the Company’s licensing agreements. Tasks include royalty payment preparation and reporting, and communication and coordination of reporting requirements relative to such agreements for external and internal customers. The position will also work closely to coordinate intercompany royalty planning efforts with the Tax department.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Perform monthly close responsibilities
Calculate, accrue and pay royalty and other licensing obligations
Prepare and review plan forecasts for third party and intercompany royalty income and expense
Monitor corporate portfolio of executed license agreements for contractual compliance
Support stakeholders on royalty relevant developments (Human Health Finance, Alliance Management, BD&L)
Participate on TRAIN project teams for any new corporate transactions involving licensing or royalty obligations
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for all departmental processes
Support external, internal, and licensor audits
Provide system oversight for the Alliant software application
Assist in ad-hoc special projects
Position Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement:
BS/BA or higher in Accounting / Finance
Required Experience and Skills:
A minimum of 3 years of accounting or finance, internal audit, and/or public accounting
Ability to work with limited supervision
Strong analytical skills with an attention to detail
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong social/partnership skills
Ability to understand contractual agreements and execute financial provisions under strict deadlines
Preferred Experience and Skills:
CPA strongly preferred
Familiarity with corporate licensing contracts and standard contractual terms
Knowledge of HFM, FSA, and SAP
