Unit Support Associate - Emergency unit at Providence Little Co of Mary Medical Ctr-Torrance, CA. Positions available is full-time, Night shifts.
The Unit Support Associate (USA) role performs support functions on the patient care unit including admitting (quick admitting), record keeping, chart audit/management, order entry, log maintenance, and monitoring. Also performs as customer relations/"concierge", clerical systems facilitator and problem solver. Responds appropriately to patients and families with knowledge of age specific needs. This position also contributes to the team by processing necessary paperwork mandated by law/statute.

Required Qualifications:
- Coursework/Training - Vocational training course such as medical assistant, unit secretary, medical records, billing, etc. or recent related experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with computer entry and word processing.
- Recent experience in a healthcare setting including, but not limited to, either unit secretary, admitting, billing or a medical records clerical position.
- Recent, hospital-direct experience in an acute, sub-acute unit or skilled nursing facility.
