The Regulatory Reporting Manager is responsible for all Property & Casualty regulatory reporting (including P&C Statistical and Workers' Compensation data reporting) and other assigned data reports to the required jurisdictions or statistical agents used by the company.

 

How You Will Make an Impact:

• Provide oversight of all regulatory reporting, ensuring reports are submitted in compliance with all regulatory requirements including timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
• Manage the regulatory reporting team, ensuring appropriate allocation of workloads and providing training and development to direct reports as needed.
• Maintain reporting calendar, and allocate work internally and to service providers as needed to optimize the efficiency of resources while developing staff.
• Understand the regulatory reporting requirements of the different territories in which the Argo Group operates and stay apprised of changes to such requirements.
• Track fines and penalties incurred due to regulatory reporting and related errors; report fines, penalties, and policy violations to management on a regular basis.
• Develop relationships with key contacts at workers' compensation bureaus and NCCI to promote open communication and proactive handling of any issues as they arise.
• Identify trends in data constraints, and work to improve data aggregation and downstream reporting.
• Document, maintain, and continually evaluate Regulatory Reporting processes and procedures to ensure business and regulatory reporting requirements continue to be met; effect change as required.
• Collaborate with IT, Claims, Underwriting, Accounting, and other business units as needed to support the assigned data calls, as well as research, and responds to inquiries related to previously submitted data calls.
• Must be able to extract and organize raw data, set parameters to disqualify non-usable data, and assist with the interpretation and use of the data.

What We Need:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of insurance industry experience, including commercial lines.
• Workers Compensation and Property and Casualty Statistical reporting experience (to Workers Compensation Bureaus, NCCI, NISS, ISO, or AAIS).
• Experience with other Property and Casualty reporting including special data calls, surplus lines reporting, and/or federal TRIA reporting is a plus.
• Management experience with oversight and responsibility for data reporting.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Advanced Excel/spreadsheet skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring for team members.
• Ability to spot data trends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to proactively troubleshoot/problem-solve.

The base salary range provided below will be commensurate with candidate experience.  In addition to base salary, all employees are eligible for an annual bonus based on company and individual performance as well as a generous benefits package.

New York City Pay Range:$140,000—$150,000 USD
