<div class="content-intro"><p><img src="https://caddell.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/Build-your-career.png" alt="" width="822" style="max-width: 100%;"></p> <p>&nbsp;</p></div><p><strong>Job Title –&nbsp;</strong>Mechanical Estimator - Governmental</p> <p><strong>Location –&nbsp;</strong>Montgomery, AL or Atlanta, GA&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; line-height: normal;"><strong><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Arial Black',sans-serif; color: #004d71;">Rewards of Working at Caddell - Paid vacations, company-paid&nbsp;holidays, company-funded&nbsp;medical insurance.&nbsp; Company joint funding of dental and vision insurance, life and disability plans to full-time employees, 401k match, gym membership reimbursement, and use of company condominiums.</span></strong></p> <p class="MsoNormal" style=" line-height: normal;"><strong><span style="font-size: 18.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: #691c32;">What You Will Do</span></strong></p> <ul> <li>Develop and maintain relationships with mechanical and associated sub-system subcontractors to build a reliable nationwide network of partners to support Caddell in the successful pursuit and construction of projects</li> <li>Reviews and understands electrical and associated sub-system requirements within government RFPs/bid documents for either bid-build or design-build projects</li> <li>Manages schedule/priorities to meet various bid dates and deadlines</li> <li>Develops budgetary estimates for both bid-build and design-build projects</li> <li>For design-build projects, provides pre-bid engagement with the design team to provide collaboration on the most cost-effective design and equipment that complies with RFP requirements</li> <li>Coordinates bid solicitations for electrical and associated systems subcontractors and vendors</li> <li>Maintains engagement with subcontractors during the bid process to ensure adequate competition</li> <li>Receives and analyzes subcontractor and vendor quotes on bid day; coordinates with the Senior Estimator to determine the proper scope and budget carried in the estimate.</li> <li>Develops and negotiates project-specific scope for subcontracts</li> <li>Provides post-award engagement with the design team on design-build projects to ensure design aligns with the project budget</li> <li>Ensures selected electrical subcontractor is engaged with the designer during the design process</li> <li>Develops historical cost data</li> <li>Assembles bid documentation</li>
