This team is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data and processing pipelines that power our core systems. As a Senior Engineer, you will play a key role in developing scalable and reliable backend solutions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and contributing to architectural decisions.</span></span><span> </span></p><p><span> </span></p><p><b><span><span>Key Responsibilities</span></span><span> </span></b></p><p><span> </span></p><p></p><ul><li><span><span>Design and implement scalable backend systems and data pipelines.</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Collaborate with product managers, architects, and DevOps to deliver high-quality solutions.</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Ensure high code quality through code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Contribute to the adoption of modern engineering practices and tools.</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Monitor and optimize system performance, reliability, and scalability.</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Participate in technical roadmap discussions and provide input on architectural decisions.</span></span><span> </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span><span>Required Skills &amp; Experience</span></span><span> </span></b></p><p><span> </span></p><ul><li><span><span>Strong backend development experience in Scala.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM, etc.).</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Proficiency with Kafka for event streaming and messaging.</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Experience with Kubernetes, preferably EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service).</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Familiarity with <span>infrastructure-as-code</span> tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Exposure to data engineering or big data technologies (Spark, Snowflake).</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>Exposure to AI tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, etc.) is beneficial.</span></span><span> </span></li><li><span><span>A bachelor's degree (BS) is required; an MSc or PhD is a nice to have.</span></span><span> </span></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Work in a way that works for you</b><br/> </p><p>We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
