We are seeking a Marine Electrician to serve on our SEMAT Hawaii team located in Pearl Harbor, HI. This Marine Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical maintenance and training to assist shipboard personnel in the operation, maintenance, and repair of specific items of engineering systems/equipments onboard USN Surface Ships.
What You Will Do
- Perform electrical maintenance and training to assist shipboard personnel in the operation, maintenance, and repair of specific items of engineering systems/equipments onboard USN Surface Ships.
- Master understanding of production and processes.
- Responsible for interfacing with customers, managing subcontractors and ability to provide work directions to others.
- May provide direction and lead others.
- May manage one or more multiple jobs.
- Completes comprehension of specialty trades functions and tools. Performs a variety of complicated and non-routine tasks.
- Develops and uses technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes and procedures, test documents, reports and task or trip reports.
- Schedules, reports and briefs customers and senior management. May perform quality inspections on finished product.
- Performs duties outside of specialty to complete installation or work assignment.
What You Must Have
- High School education, or Trade School or equivalent, and 6 years of related experience.
- Must have shipboard electrical maintenance and repair experience.
- Must be able to read and interpret equipment and system ship drawings and ship technical documents and manuals.
- Must be competent in the use of electrical equipment and tools in corrective repair efforts to accomplish ship repairs.
- Must provide own hand tools as designated per trades specialty.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD Confidential security clearance.
- Must be physically able to climb and work on ships in an industrial environment.
- Start date contingent upon approval of base access, which is required for this position and continued employment.

- Recent Marine Electrical shipboard experience on USN ships.
