About the role

Position Summary:
The Assistant Commercial Parking Manager supports the Commercial Parking Manager with daily parking and mobility operations at a mixed-use development with multiple parking structures, surface lots, tenants, and event partners.

This position serves as the Manager on Duty (MOD) during assigned evening, weekend, and event shifts. Responsibilities include supporting event planning, supervising employees, coordinating traffic flow, addressing operational concerns, and ensuring guests, tenants, and event patrons receive a safe, professional, and well-organized parking experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Operations and Manager-on-Duty Support
• Serve as the on-site Manager on Duty during assigned evening, weekend, and event shifts.
• Address operational issues, guest concerns, staffing shortages, and employee performance matters in real time.
• Conduct regular inspections of parking garages, surface lots, and gated license plate recognition access points.
• Confirm that parking equipment, gates, signage, lighting, and traffic-control measures are functioning properly.
• Ensure parking areas remain clean, safe, organized, accessible, and properly staffed.
• follow emergency, incident-reporting, and escalation procedures.
• Document and promptly report safety, equipment, client, and operational concerns to the Commercial Parking Manager.

Event Planning and Execution
• Assist with planning and staffing parking operations for programmed events.
• Prepare employee schedules, staffing requirements, traffic plans, and parking assignments before each event.
• Serve as an on-site operational lead during assigned events.
• Direct traffic and support the safe, efficient movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
• Manage advance reservations, walk-up parking, access control, and parking availability.
• Coordinate event arrival and departure plans with venue personnel, tenants, security teams, and other event partners.
• Assist with signage, wayfinding, staging areas, and the activation of additional parking lots.
• Monitor event occupancy, revenue, staffing, incidents, and operational results.
• Provide post-event reports and recommendations to improve future operations.

Team Supervision and Guest Service
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, coaching, and supervising hourly employees.
• Communicate expectations regarding attendance, appearance, safety, customer service, and job performance.
• Provide employees with assignments, instructions, and operational updates.
• Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and report disciplinary concerns to the Commercial Parking Manager.
• Maintain backup staffing plans for call-offs and unexpected increases in volume.
• Model calm, professional leadership during high-volume and high-pressure operations.
• Maintain a welcoming, service-focused environment for guests, tenants, clients, and event patrons.
• Respond professionally to parking questions, complaints, payment issues, and access concerns.
• Resolve concerns at the site level when possible and escalate serious or unresolved matters as appropriate.

Client, Vendor, and Property Coordination
• Serve as a secondary point of contact for tenants, clients, vendors, and event partners during assigned shifts.
• Represent PMC professionally in all interactions with clients, vendors, employees, and guests.
• Coordinate after-hours access and scheduling for maintenance teams, equipment vendors, sensor installers, and license plate recognition vendors.
• Communicate operational changes, equipment concerns, and service issues accurately and promptly.

Financial, Administrative, and Reporting Support
• Assist with monitoring daily and event parking revenue, payroll, staffing, labor expenses, and budget performance.
• Follow company procedures for cash handling, payment processing, and financial accountability.
• Review reports for missing information or discrepancies and notify the Commercial Parking Manager.
• Assist with employee timekeeping, schedule adjustments, and other administrative responsibilities.
• Provide updates regarding shift performance, event results, staffing needs, equipment issues, and property conditions.
• Complete required shift, incident, and event reports accurately and on time.
• Use a personal device when necessary for emergency, urgent operational, or event-related communication.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of supervisory or team-lead experience in parking, hospitality, retail, venue operations, events, transportation, or a similar customer-s
