Maintenance Technician for a Fast Paced Growing Company

GC Realty & Development, LLC, is an excellent property management company looking for a driven, tech savvy person to fill their open Maintenance Technician role in their rapidly growing property management company. GC Realty is working with over 400 housing providers, many who are out of state, to provide top notch housing for Chicagoland renters. We know quality homes and being responsive to resident needs will create satisfied families which helps our clients build a sustainable rental business. This is especially important when our clients live all around the world and cannot do what we can do on the ground here. Fast paced growth is exhilarating and they are incredibly excited to open up a new position on the maintenance team of 6.

The successful Maintenance Tech candidate will perform work order tasks by completing repairs on residential and commercial units within the scope of the property or business needs. In addition to general maintenance, plumbing, heating, small renovations, and wiring, they will be expected to conduct comprehensive inspections of buildings, to ensure compliance with safety standards.

The job comes with an hourly rate of $20 to $25, commensurate with experience.

What You'll Do

• Perform all levels of residential maintenance tasks, including complex repairs, installations, and renovations
• Resolution of resident issues through skillful repairs
• Delivering outstanding customer service and exemplifying the "GC&D Experience"
• Accurate and timely completion of daily documentation and paperwork
• Proactive maintenance and organization of van/truck and equipment inventory
• Communicate and collaborate throughout the day with dispatcher, manager, and team members
• Stay to the job is done when scenario deems necessary
• Be eyes and ears of the company by reporting any potential hazards and/or damages to properties and residents
