Job Summary:
Weiser Memorial Hospital is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead the planning, organization, and supervision of maintenance operations across our hospital campus, including clinics and administrative offices. This position plays a key role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and regulatory-compliant environment that supports excellent patient care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations for all facility systems including HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and utilities.
- Manage general maintenance personnel and outside contractors.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance and safety protocols, including fire alarm systems per NFPA standards.
- Monitor and manage department budget, supplies, and maintenance contracts.
- Conduct regular inspections and make recommendations for repairs, equipment upgrades, and space utilization.
- Lead emergency management planning and training, including CMS-compliant drills.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Participate in quality performance initiatives (QPI), departmental reviews, and staff development.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education & experience in health care planning, industrial engineering or other applicable field is preferred
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering, construction, or facilities with Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing Systems is required.
- A minimum of 2 years’ health care facility planning experience including developing and coordinating functional programs for expansion, relocation or remodeling projects, preferred
- Knowledge of architecture and health care planning sufficient to develop practical space programs, planning concepts, architectural plans and project schedules
- Experience with project management is preferred.
- Ability to work with employees, interdepartmental teams, and unit leadership across the enterprise to effectively complete goals
- Excellent oral and written interpersonal skills
Physical & Work Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently; medium physical demand classification.
- Exposure to odors, chemicals, bodily fluids, and mechanical hazards.
- Work involves frequent walking, standing, climbing, bending, and handling tools/equipment.
- Must be physically and mentally capable of extended work hours if necessary.
