Strategic Operations and Organizational Development Internship
Glynn County Description:
Glynn County is a dynamic coastal community in southeastern Georgia renowned for its economic development, tourism industry, and strategic federal and state agencies. Department Overview:
The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) is a professional, full-service law enforcement agency committed to safeguarding the lives and property of residents and visitors. The department emphasizes community-oriented policing, transparency, innovation, and strategic operations to maintain public safety across the county.
Internship Project:
GCPD seeks an intern to assist in organizing records, analyzing data, and working with command staff to learn various facets of law enforcement decision-making with a focus on organizational development. The project will explore best practices in modern policing that are aligned with community safety goals and departmental standards.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze internal policies, procedures, and organizational structure related to patrol operations and administrative support.
- Collaborate with command staff and division supervisors to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Assist in developing data-driven recommendations for resource deployment and performance benchmarks.
- Research national best practices for law enforcement operations and community engagement strategies.
- Participate in briefings, ride-alongs, and meetings to understand real-world law enforcement applications.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Interest in public safety, law enforcement operations, or organizational strategy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a professional environment.

Duration and Benefits:
- This internship is expected to span from June 2025 to September 2025.
- Compensation: This internship is paid; compensation details will be discussed during the interview process.
