Our location in Lake Forest, IL currently has an opportunity for an Operational Excellence Lead.  In this role you will assist CMI’s BU operational excellence strategies that help the organization understand the importance of metrics measurements and the impact of operational performance.  To help drive visual management, understand data, and engage our employees on the techniques, tools and philosophies of lean management. This is an entry level OpEx position that can serve as a pathway to development opportunity.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support OpEx Strategy: Actively support the Operational Excellence (OpEx) strategy at CMI Business Unit (BU).
• Process Improvement Projects: Lead and execute process improvement projects using OpEx tools and techniques.
• Analytical Solutions: Assist in working with the offshore business intelligence unit to design and implement analytical solutions.
• Metrics and Measurements: Assist the organization in understanding and utilizing metrics and measurements that impact performance.
• Kaizen Events: Assist in leading Kaizen events across various sites to drive continuous improvement.
• Project Reporting: Ensure project metrics and timelines are reported via appropriate systems in a timely manner.
• Collaboration: Work with site operations and different levels of subject matter experts and leaders to advance project and continuous improvement goals.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING                                                

REQUIRED:

• Assocaites degree in Engineering or Business Operations.
• Project management and team leadership experience
• Two years+ of demonstrated success in applying continuous improvement lean/six sigma tools
• Highly motivated process thinker that drives customer focused solutions
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing projects within deadlines
• Experience analyzing and using data to make data driven decisions
