Riverside Research is seeking a Senior Research Development Engineer/Scientist to support an IC program in Springfield, VA. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a contractor office or client site and working remotely.

Responsibilities include:
*Create software to label data in a SAR image *Apply remote sensing principles and methods to analyze data and solve problems in national security *Develop new sensor systems, analytical techniques, and new applications for existing systems *Provide scientific analysis and products collected from the exploitation of synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data *Provide support for informational briefings for the purpose of educating analysts and managers on the capabilities of spectral data and their potential application *Participate in overall functional strategic planning *Contribute to and lead the planning and implementation of large programs in the function and regularly interface with senior management and executive leadership.
50% Hybrid/Telework and must be local to the DC/VA metro area.
Basic Qualifications:
- MS or higher degree in Engineering, Science, Imagery Analysis, or related STEM degree
- TS/SCI clearance with CI Poly
- Senior-level experience (12+ years) with SAR and GEOINT data.
- Good imagery analyst skills
- Ability to prototype algorithms in MATLAB, Python
- Strong oral and written communication skills
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in the SAR discipline of GEOINT analytic tradecraft designing and testing algorithm performance
- Experience working in the DoD/IC
