Step into our dynamic Overflow Unit and unleash your med/surg nursing skills. With just 9 beds, this unit offers a diverse array of patients with various diagnoses. From direct admissions from medical offices, hospitals, and clinics across the organization to pre-surgery patients awaiting their procedures and even those in recovery, our scope is broad and ever-evolving.

Position Highlights:

  • Sign-on Bonus:$15,000 sign-on bonus for qualified candidates!

  • Location: Baptist Medical Center, Winston-Salem, NC
  • Shift Schedule: Full time (36 hours), Nights, 7:00pm - 7:00am

What You'll Need:

  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines

How You'll Impact Patient Care:

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, leading the coordination of patient care from assessment to evaluation. Yourexpertise will beshowcased as you prescribe, delegate, and carefully orchestrate nursing care tailored to each patient's unique needs, encompassing their age, health/illness status, and physiological/psychosocial well-being. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Patient/Family Centered Care:Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision. Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses,identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promoteoptimal health and wellbeingin accordance with the policies of WFBH.
  2. Patient Discharge & Referrals:Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed.
