Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Sr Materials Specialist with at least 5 years of hands-on experience to join our highly skilled team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components, subassemblies, and systems, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong aptitude for working with tools, blueprints, and technical specifications.

About This Role:
We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:
•    Perform composite fabrication processes including vacuum bagging, wet layups, bonding, potting, injecting, prepreg handling, resin system preparation, and infusion.
•    Operate and maintain autoclaves, ovens, and presses for composite curing according to established procedures.
•    Set up and monitor vacuum pumps and related equipment during composite processing.
•    Assist engineering with developing and refining work instructions for composite manufacturing.
•    Maintain accurate lab notebooks, process documentation, and records for traceability and IRAD (Internal Research and Development) projects.
•    Collaborate with engineers and technicians to support prototype builds and production schedules.
•    Ensure proper handling and storage of composite materials to maintain integrity and performance.
•    Follow all safety protocols and company policies when working with chemicals, resins, and high-temperature equipment.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for composite processes and tooling.

Qualifications:
•    Experience: Minimum of 5+ years working with composite materials in a manufacturing or R&D environment.
•    Education: High school diploma or equivalent; advanced technical training or certification in composites preferred.
