POSITION SUMMARY
Technical Systems Integration (TSI) is seeking a Junior-Level Training System Analyst to join our team supporting the Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) at the Surface Advanced Warfighting School (SAWS) in San Diego, CA. This entry-level position provides an excellent opportunity to begin a career in naval training systems while supporting the development and operation of advanced training simulators and educational programs. The successful candidate will work alongside senior analysts and instructors to support cutting-edge training technologies and help prepare surface warfare personnel for complex combat scenarios across Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Surface Warfare (SUW) domains.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Training Systems Support
-Assist with courses of instruction requiring the use of simulators in formal schoolhouse and classroom environments
-Learn and support the operation of Multi-Mission Team Trainer (MMTT), Combined IAMD/ASW Trainer (CIAT), Virtual Operator Trainers (VOTs), CV-TSC, and Multi Warfare Training and Planning System (MWPTS)
-Support senior analysts in providing feedback and recommendations on simulator and emulator system effectiveness
-Assist with set-up, basic operations, and troubleshooting of training systems and simulators
Scenario Development Assistance
-Support the development of tactical multi-day, multi-warfare scenarios within MMTT and CV-TSC training systems
-Assist with scenario development for training executed within CIAT training facilities
-Help create scenarios that encompass basic to complex level knowledge checks and tactical assessments
-Participate in course curriculum review processes and provide input for improvement
-Support the development of learning objectives and training standards
Database Support & Data Entry
-Learn database foundation, capability, and use including database views, reporting, and metrics tracking
-Assist with entering and managing data into the Warfare Training Instructor (WTI) database system
-Support updates to WTI individual records for PCS transfers, PRD changes, and operational requirements
-Help develop, process, and maintain databases supporting Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and Subject Matter Expert (SME) programs
-Provide support for database management systems, Visual Basic for Applications (VBA), and Microsoft Excel applications
Instructional Support
-Assist with instruction in formal schoolhouse and classroom environments for WTI and other SMWDC courses
-Support delivery of advanced surface warfare tactics instruction in ASW and SUW areas
-Provide assistance with training in shipboard (in-port), combat system laboratory, and staff environments
-Support Surface Warfare Advanced Tactical Training (SWATT) instruction and assessment activities
-Assist with assessment of Fleet Concepts of Operation (CONOPS) and unit-level mission area readiness
Graphics & Technical Support
-Develop high-quality graphics and visual aids for presentations and training materials
-Support maintenance and development of lethality training tools including Target Motion Analysis (TMA) programs
-Assist with developing training programs for classroom, self-training, and shipboard applications
-Support database updates and training metrics analysis
-Ensure compliance with SMWDC briefing standardization requirements (SMWDCINST 3320.1)
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
-1+ year of recent experience developing high-quality graphics for presentations
-1+ year of recent experience providing classroom instruction on topics related to Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) and Surface Warfare (SUW) areas
Required Technical Skills:
-1+ year of recent proficiency with Adobe software including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat, and Premiere or equivalent computer programs
-Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite applications
-Willingness to learn database management systems and data analysis tools
Required Competencies:
-Basic instructional support and classroom assistance capabilities
-Interest in Navy surface warfare tactics, techniques, and procedures
-Ability to learn training simulator systems and their operational requirements
-Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Technical Expertise:
