News Internship-Unpaid, College Credit

WCMH-TV is currently accepting News Internship applications for the 2025 Summer semester. College students can apply for internships in News, Sports or Weather. Internships for this semester are unpaid. Interns must be receiving college credit.

WCMH News internships are designed for aspiring broadcast journalists seeking hands-on experience in a local newsroom. Interns will potentially work with reporters, photojournalists, and producers.

WCMH Sports internships are designed for aspiring sports reporters. Interns will work side-by-side with the WCMH sports team. Potential internship opportunities include shadowing in the field, at games and at press conferences.

Internship Details:

· Internship schedules will be based on requirements from college or university

· Interns will be well-supervised and participate in a meaningful learning experience

· Upon completion of the internship, students will be evaluated through a written review by the internship supervisor

Requirements & Skill:

· Juniors and seniors studying broadcast journalism, video production, or other communication degrees

· Internships must be for school credit

· Be of advanced skill level due to complexity of projects

· A collaborative worker with a willingness to learn

· Previous internship experience a plus
