Job Summary:
The Global Senior Manager of Accounts Payable will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the accounts payable function across our international operations. This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in Oracle Cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems to effectively lead and streamline the accounts payable processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oracle ERP: Serve as the subject matter expert for Oracle Cloud ERP’s procure-to-pay module, including Procurement, ensuring seamless integration and efficient utilization of the platform within the accounts payable function.Global AP Process Oversight: Take charge of the end-to-end accounts payable process across all international locations, overseeing invoice processing, vendor management, and payment disbursements.Compliance and Controls: Implement and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and prevent fraudulent activities within the accounts payable function.Vendor Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors globally, negotiate payment terms, and address inquiries and disputes to maintain a healthy vendor ecosystem.Procurement: Play a vital role in the implementation of the Oracle Procurement module, including training and support across the Company. Deep experience working with Procurement and understanding the purchase order process is key to the role. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of accounts payable professionals across US and international locations, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations to optimize their potential.Process Improvement: Continuously assess and identify opportunities for process improvements within accounts payable operations to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness.Reporting and Analytics: Prepare and present periodic reports on accounts payable metrics and KPIs to senior management, identifying trends and proposing data-driven strategies for optimization.Cash Management: Work closely with the Company’s Treasurer to support cash forecasts and effectively manage cash outflows. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, FP&A, and IT, to streamline procure-to-pay processes and enhance overall financial operations.System Upgrades and Implementations: Participate in ERP system upgrades, migrations, and new module implementations related to accounts payable, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal disruptions.Risk Mitigation: Assess and mitigate potential risks associated with accounts payable, monitor financial exposure, and propose effective risk management strategies.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 8+ years of progressive experience in accounts payable management within a global setting, with a focus on Oracle ERP systems.Proven expertise in managing Oracle Cloud ERP modules related to accounts payable, such as Oracle Payables and Procurement.Experience with international VAT taxation is beneficial to this role. .Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to mentor and guide a diverse team.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and address process inefficiencies.Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in using data to drive strategic decision-making.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with stakeholders at all levels.Willingness to travel internationally, as needed, to support global operations.
