As a Manager, Project Management at Capital One, you will lead critical and strategic projects to deliver results that will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the company. This role sits within the Customer Transformation Office (CTO)  of the Commercial Bank.   This team leads the delivery for some of the highest priority initiatives across the Commercial Bank. In this exciting role, you will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to deliver and amplify the division's  most impactful work, solve complex problems from our distinct vantage point, all while balancing strategy and tactics. Our project work runs the gamut, some examples are: launching new products, leading updates to existing products and features, or leading foundational initiatives that enable growth.

General Responsibilities

  • Communicate timely updates on projects, systems, and events ensuring they stay on track, on deadline, and on budget

  • Work on large and small scale projects that have a direct impact on the company

  • Drive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables, timelines and budget are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and escalate as needed

  • Plan, design, manage and execute project plans to ensure delivery, includes management through feasibility, design, planning and implementation 

  • Leverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent and maintain key project documentation

  • Partner with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery

  • Forge relationships with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments

  • Identify ways to improve and streamline business process

  • Exhibit a proven track record of project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage the work

  • Demonstrate outstanding communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders across all levels to manage, inform, and influence outcomes

  • Demonstrate organizational agility to adapt to changing demands

  • Display strong consulting and collaboration skills

  • Work on program management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage tasks

  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Have excellent communication and partnership skills for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders to manage, inform and influence outcomes

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or military experience

  • At least 6 years of Project Management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or Masters degree

  • 7+ years of Project Management experience

  • PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification

  • Experience collaborating with senior leadership

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

Charlotte, NC: $132,800 - $151,600 for Manager, Project Management


 

McLean, VA: $146,100 - $166,700 for Manager,
