Responsibilities
Draper has an opening to join our team as the Facility Security Officer (FSO), Site Security Manager for our St. Petersburg, FL location. The individual will manage all aspects of various U.S. Government regulations such as DoD Manual 5205.07, DoD Manual 5105.21-M-1, the CFR 32 Part 117 National Industrial Security Program Operations Manual (NISPOM), and other security activities ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. As FSO the candidate must function as part of the Draper corporate security team; however, possess the ability to operate independently. This position is a direct report to the Director of Security based out of our corporate headquarters in Cambridge, MA. This position will lead, manage, or supervise other team members and serve as liaison with security oversight agencies, other Government customers, as well as sub/prime contractors. Some travel may be required.
Responsibilities
- Duties involve ensuring compliance in the areas of personnel security/visitor control, information system security, physical security, document control.
- Requires rapid responses on multiple tasks to identify solutions for emerging requirements, frequently with short turnaround times.
- Provide briefings on the overall security programs and related Maintain document control accountability systems; receives, generates and accounts for classified materials. Provides security guidance regarding controlling, safeguarding, and marking classified materials.
- Change door and safe combinations; respond, determine reason(s) for and takes corrective action on after hours facility alarms.
- Provide security support on special programs to the Draper Program Manager, Technical Director and technical staff as necessary.
- Implement a method of inspections, audits and analysis of security functions to determine

- Oversee the completion and adherence to the security self-inspection programs as well as the actions to correct deficiencies and improve the overall security posture.
- Conduct administrative inquiries of incidents involving non-compliance with security Work with security leadership to investigate, prepare, and submit written investigative reports.
- Manage and plan/obtain appropriate approvals for the construction and/or modification of work areas IAW the government’s physical security specifications.
