Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add an Associate Operations Supervisor located in USA, TX, Austin
Reporting to the Operations Manager the Associate Operations Supervisor is responsible for providing daily supervision to staff, projects and/or resources, and ensures complete end-to-end development of assigned personnel (direct reports) and/or Operations project.

What a typical day looks like:
- Identify labor needs, interviews, and recruiting activities, implement training, and coaching/counseling for improved performance
- Activities include staff meetings, customer interactions, vendor/service provider interactions, and internal communications with peers, staff, and internal business unit departments
- Protection of company assets
- Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and apply the LEAN manufacturing concept wherever possible.
- Directs daily department activities to meet production goals.
- Confers with management, production, and marketing staff to determine manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
- Forecasts operating costs of the department and directs preparation of budget requests.
- Reviews and establishes material, equipment, and workforce requirements.
- Selects and develops personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the production function.
- Administer safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees.
- Generates productivity reports and other operations metrics.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Experience in supervisory role
- Medical device manufacturing experience
- ISO 13485 experience
- Demonstrates operations and technical skills
- Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Collect data, establish facts, interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, and draw valid conclusions
Here are a few of our preferred experiences:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in supervisory role
- Experience with government regulations and safety/quality compliance requirements (i.e., FDA, cGMP, ISO 13485)
- Experience with FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing environment
- Prior success implementing lean initiatives that reduced cost and/or increased productivity and quality
- Ensures compliance of standards
