Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to be based in Boston, MA.

What You’ll Do
As a Deputy Project Manager, you’ll play a key role supporting project delivery, operations, and performance across multiple business lines. Your work will make an impact across Transportation, Water, Program & Project Management (PPM), Buildings + Places, Environment, and Energy.
You will:
- Partner with Project Managers to support a variety of projects and programs across the region.
- Monitor project performance and understand how individual projects contribute to overall business outcomes.
- Prepare reports and presentations in Excel and PowerPoint, and contribute to project delivery
- Apply standard engineering and project management techniques to develop technical skills and professional judgment.
- Prepare designs, calculations, drawings, and other project deliverables under the supervision of experienced professionals.
- Participate in interdisciplinary reviews and contribute to continuous improvement across teams.
- Develop and manage spreadsheets, databases, and analytical tools to support project and business operations.
- Collect data and prepare monthly and quarterly forecasts on key project and program financial metrics.
- Conduct research, perform analysis, and present recommendations based on findings.
- Coordinate with business lines and corporate teams to compile and analyze data for management reporting.
- Assist Project Managers with cost control, schedule tracking, and other key project management functions.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant experience, internship or professional work, is a plus.
- Working Knowledge of industry software such as Oracle- Primavera P6 software, Revit, etc.
- Working Knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power Bi and Office.
- 365 apps such as Power Apps, Power Automate and SharePoint Design.
- Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, high proficiency with Excel.
- Ability to work with different levels of both technical and administrative personnel.
- High comfort level with quantitative analysis, particularly under tight time constraints.
- Excellent communicator including the desire to ask questions and learn from co-workers.
- Ability to prioritize tasks with a commitment to completing tasks with urgency and within established deadlines.
