Responsibilities

Your Role:

The Finance Director, Operations Finance COE leads the Operations Finance Center of Excellence, responsible for establishing consistent financial processes, performance visibility, and analytical support across manufacturing operations. The role partners with plant and business unit finance teams to strengthen operational decision-making and ensure consistent financial discipline and insight across the operations network.

  • Develop standardized analytics and reporting frameworks for volume, labor, cost, and productivity performance.
  • Provide cross-plant insights and benchmarking to identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide financial insight that informs decisions related to cost structure, productivity initiatives, and operational priorities.
  • Provide forward-looking financial insight - not just reporting historical results. 
  • Help operations leaders understand financial impact of operational decisions
  • Challenge assumptions and drive fact-based decision making.
  • Establish reporting standards, analytical expectations, and operating cadence in partnership with plant and business unit finance teams.
  • Support executive leadership with clear synthesis of cross-plant performance trends, risks, and opportunities
  • Translate complex operational and financial performance into clear executive-level insights, including concise summaries of performance trends, risks, and required actions for senior leadership.
  • Enable consistent financial insight across manufacturing operations through scalable reporting, analytics, and performance frameworks that provide clear visibility into cost performance, productivity, and operational drivers.
  • Elevate analytical and business partnership capabilities across the operations finance community through tools, standards, and best practices.
  • Coordinate the financial component of plant performance reviews, ensuring consistent metrics, analysis, and executive-ready insights.
  • Establish standardized frameworks for tracking cost performance and productivity initiatives across plants
  • Support enterprise productivity and cost transformation initiatives by providing standardized tracking, financial validation, and performance insight.

Qualifications

We need you to have:

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing or operations finance, preferably in a large manufacturing or CPG environment.
  • Prior leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to partner cross-functionally and influence without authority.
  • Experience partnering directly with operations leaders
  • Excellent analytical, financial modeling, and Excel skills.
  • Ability to get into the details, while also seeing and understanding the big picture
  • Experience with financial systems (e.g., SAP, Power BI, Tableau, Hyperion, Smartview) and sourcing tools.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a hands-on approach.
  • Demonstrated effective communication and presentation skills working with multiple peer groups and senior levels of management.
  • Ability to recommend, develop and implement innovative process improvements in the areas of reporting.
