Certified School Nurse

The North Plainfield School District is seeking a caring, student-centered School Nurse to support the health, safety, and well-being of our diverse student population. North Plainfield serves approximately 3,500 students in grades PreK�12 and is committed to providing an inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for student injuries, illnesses, and chronic health conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and district procedures.
• Develop and monitor individualized healthcare plans and emergency medical plans.
• Maintain accurate health records and ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Support students experiencing physical, emotional, or mental health concerns.
• Communicate with families, healthcare providers, and school staff regarding student health needs.
• Promote student wellness through health education and prevention initiatives.
• Collaborate with administrators, counselors, and support staff to ensure student success.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License required.
• New Jersey School Nurse Certificate preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid Certification required.
• Experience working with children or adolescents preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and recordkeeping skills.
• Spanish speaking preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Compensation and benefits are provided in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Salary: $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience
