Position: Storeroom Attendant
Reports to: Storeroom Supervisor
Shift: Rotating - 4x10 , 6:00am-4:00pm MST
Pay: $28.46

Summary:
Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, receives issues and maintains stock materials in storerooms. Operates the computer to input transactions and ensures proper inventory control. It is the responsibility of all employees at the Leamington plant to work in a safe manner. Employees are fully expected to engagein our See Stop Do culture following all safety procedures and proactively stopping the job and reporting unsafe conditionas, hazards or concerns.
What you’ll be contributing:
- Perform daily workplace exams and other required safety and work documents.
- Unload and load trucks and interact with drivers, ensuring their compliance to Ash Grove’s safety standards
- Receive and put away shipments of plant supplies and resources, enter transactions in Bentley software and file applicable receiving documents.
- Maintain storeroom organization and cleanliness by regularly cleaning storeroom and maintaining part labels.
- Accurately issue materials to work orders in Bentley.
- Perform periodic inventory cycle counts and ensure part locations are accurately updated in Bentley.
- Attend weekly Storeroom Coordination meeting.
- Escort truck drivers in plant as required.
- Prepare returns and other shipments as needed.
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- Proficient in English written, verbal communication and listening skills.
- Ability to operate forklift, telehandler, and various hand tools used in storeroom activities.
- Ability to read, write and understand written instructions, signs and warning labels.
- Ability to communicate clearly with storeroom customers and vendors.
- Knowledge of and ability to use basic computer equipment and Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to perform basic math functions.
- Must have ability and initiative to prioritize and manage daily activities to ensure work is done.
- General knowledge of mechanical and electrical products.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail without errors.
What to expect in a cement environment:
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
