<p><span><span><b>Position Description</b></span></span></p>

<p><span><span>The Environmental Consenting Project Manager will be a member of the Planning & Environmental (P&E) Group within the Engineering & Major Projects (EMP) business unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of environmental consenting on infrastructure projects undertaken by ESB Group.</span></span></p>

<p><span><span><b>Key Responsibilities</b></span></span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span><span>Responsibilities will cover the items below:</span></span></p>
<p> </p>
<ul>
<li><span><span>Take ownership and responsibility for requirements and project managing all environmental related workstreams on projects including: </span></span>
<ul>
<li><span><span>Project tender preparation, evaluation and lifecycle project management</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>EIAR coordination, environmental studies and surveys for planning consent applications. </span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Environmental obligations post consent (e.g. during construction) </span></span></li>
</ul>
</li>
<li><span><span>Find solutions to technical environmental consenting issues, with limited oversight and advise multi-disciplinary project teams on technical matters at a strategic level.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Manage, collaborate and coordinate with other teams across ESB to successfully deliver projects in a timely manner.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Lead consultations with key external stakeholders and statutory authorities as required on projects. </span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant environmental regulatory requirements for ESB development projects especially in areas of new technologies like offshore wind. </span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Lead various feasibility and screening studies for sites as required by ESB. </span></span></li>
<li><span><span>Manage environmental and technical consultants and review technical reports. </span></span></li>

<p><span><span><b>Knowledge, Skills and Experience</b></span></span></p>

<p><span><span><b>Essential </b></span></span></p>
<p> </p>
<p><span><span>The successful candidate must have: </span></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span><span>Minimum 7 years experience in the area of Environmental Impact Assessment.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>A proven track record of successfully coordinating, project managing and co-authoring large EIAR projects.</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>In depth knowledge and experience of the consenting process of major developments (e.g. Strategic Infrastructure Development Act, Environmental Impact Assessment process, assessment under the EU Habitats Directive, Waste Management Directive).</span></span></li>
<li><span><span>A strong understanding and up to date working knowledge of the environmental regulatory
