Job Title/High-Level Position Summary: The EHS Lead is responsible for managing the daily operations of the site’s safety programs. This role provides full on-site support to employees and supervisors as needed in relation to safety for the distribution center. Additionally, the Lead is accountable for developing, implementing, and enforcing the organization's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. The primary goal is to ensure a safe, healthy, and sustainable work environment for all employees while minimizing environmental impact. This role includes taking ownership of workplace safety programs and delivering training to staff on best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and monitor safety and environmental programs, processes, and policies to safeguard employees and to ensure compliance with company and government regulations.
• Administer and monitor Corporate and Business Unit safety/environmental programs.
• Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program.
• Provide training to enable effective operation of the established safety systems.
