WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Pharmacy Triage Technician

The Pharmacy Triage Technician will support our Pharmacist team by contacting our customers/clients regarding pharmacy holds, connecting them to our Pharmacists, and working collaboratively to resolve those holds. 

This is a full-time, remote position.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Accurately and efficiently review inbound faxes and enter prescription related data into the pharmacy ordering and dispensing systems.

  • Perform general pharmacy support functions- canceling orders, updating ship methods/addresses, and general troubleshooting.

  • Communicate with clinics and pet owners via phone and email to assist the pharmacist with maintaining pet profile information.

  • Communicate with other departments via email, forms/spreadsheets, ticketing systems.

  • Ensures that all pharmacy related communications and written documentation is complete and accurate which is essential for the smooth functioning of multiple team units within the pharmacy.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School diploma or G.E.D.

  • Must be currently licensed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician or Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Oregon. Non-licensed applicants will not be considered.

  • Excellent adherence to policies/procedures; demonstrates precision and good judgment at all times with respect to daily functions.

  • Must have a comprehensive knowledge of prescription abbreviations and mathematics, as well as general regulatory requirements of pharmacy practice.

  • Communicates in a positive, supportive, professional manner with customers, pet owners, and coworkers.

  • Must have excellent attendance and a strong work ethic.

  • Must be organized, motivated, detail oriented, and focused.

  • Must have an ability to adapt to new challenges and remain flexible in a dynamic business environment.

  • Must possess a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

  • Problem-solving skills: should be adaptable, thorough, and innovative.
