Summary

When a U.S. Navy ship needs repairs, they call us. Join our team as we keep the most powerful Navy the world has known afloat and ready to serve! The selected candidate will assist the Elevator Support Unit (ESU) Production Planner and Logistician in a variety of roles to include work package development, repair parts procurment, Tool Room custodian, and tool calibration coordinator. Work includes daily activities of physical labor in an industrial environment. This is a full-time position, located in Bremerton, WA. 

What You Will Do

• Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
• Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment.
• Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components.
• Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
• Develops technical documents including controlled work packages, formal work processes, and maintenance procedures and test documents.

What You Must Have

• High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain base access credentials (DBIDS).
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
• Must have experience reading schematics, diagrams, and/or technical manuals.
• Must have strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred: Bonus Points For

• Experience in the operation, repair, and maintenance of marine electro-mechanical systems
• Candidate with related technical training, degrees, and/or certifications.
• Shipboard work center supervisor or repair parts petty officer experience.
• A current or active DoD security clearance. 
• Knowledge and experience with maintenance of Navy Class Ships.
• Working familiarity and general knowledge of quality assurance program practices and principles.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
