Job Description
The Early Phase and Translational Medicine (EPTM) and Research & Development Information Technology (R&D IT) departments have a unique opportunity for a candidate that is interested in working at the cross-section of science and technology. Supported by both EPTM and R&D IT, you will have the chance to understand technologies that enable biomarker discovery and development through extraction, review and cataloging of multi-omics and clinical trial data. As a member of the core team, you will have the opportunity to influence the process for ingesting / cataloging data sets and understand how their analysis is used to support drug development efforts.
Succeeding in this role will require close collaboration with teams in R&D IT and EPTM throughout the internship with an ability to leverage your scientific acumen and understanding of our technology capabilities to develop processes that facilitate our management and analysis of multi-omics data.
Qualifications
Minimum:
By Fall 2025 candidate must be considered an undergraduate senior or master’s student with a focus on either computational biology, data science, or bioinformatics.
Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship.
Can commit to full duration of internship program.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Relevant coursework or demonstrable experience in computational biology or bioinformatics analysis
Strong technical skills (Python, R, and/or SQL)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with comfort working across IT and scientific teams
