Pay Range
$218,700 - $277,344 Annually for the SEL.4 level
$262,410 - $332,772 Annually for the SEL.5 level
This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting; pay will not be below any applicable local minimum wage. Job Description
We have an opening for an Associate Program Leader (APL) for Cyber Systems and Infrastructure Assessments to lead a dynamic, multidisciplinary team of intelligence analysts and technical experts conducting all source analysis in support of national security interests. As part of the Science and Technology Assessments (STA) Program’s management team, you will have execution responsibility for a diverse portfolio of scientific and technical intelligence activities that supports multiple stakeholders across the Intelligence Community and national security enterprise. This position is in the Global Security (GS) Principal Directorate’s Z Program and programmatically reports to the STA Program Leader.
This position will be filled at either the SEL.4 or SEL.5 level depending on your qualifications. Additional job responsibilities (outlined below) will be assigned if you are selected at the higher level.
In this role you will
- Lead the program's research agenda, including producing highly technical, finished intelligence analysis, reports, and briefings. Develop and implement an integrated strategy for research and production, consistent with overall programmatic objectives.
- Lead, manage, and coordinate Principal Investigators (PIs) and all-source intelligence analytic projects across the cyber systems and infrastructure assessments mission space, ensuring that projects are conducted to the highest standards of technical and analytical quality and fiscal management, and meet all Laboratory safety and security requirements.
- Develop and track project execution plans for the program’s assigned analytic projects, including allocation and monitoring of available resources, personnel, and budgets.
- Conduct independent research on sensitive, politically significant national security topics, with a focus on cyber, critical infrastructure, and advanced energy technologies.
- Write reports and present analytic findings that adhere to intelligence community analytic standards in support of sponsor and stakeholder objectives.
- Serve as the point of contact for relevant technical and policy areas associated with the program’s mission areas and sponsors as defined by the STA Program Leader. Represent the program with sponsors and other U.S. Government (USG) organizations, traveling, as necessary.
- Build, maintain, and enhance relationships with sponsors, customers, and stakeholders to ensure exquisite execution of projects and satisfaction of commitments while developing new program opportunities.
- Recruit staff in collaboration with counterparts, management, and matrix organizations to support the mission area and assist the STA Program Leader and Mission Managers to balance resources with other laboratory mission areas.
- Maintain and ensure appropriate quality standards of complex projects, program deliverables, and research and development activities including reviewing, coordinating, and approving publications and presentations.
