The Vehicle entry Systems Integration Engineer will lead the design and development of vehicle entry systems and be responsible for complete end-to-end integration of vehicle entry components. You will lead system-level design activities and work side by side with various cross-functional teams to support product design, vehicle behaviors definition, prototype bring-up, and validation with a system level focus. You will lead bring-up and validation activities for each vehicle build and be responsible for overall functionality and performance of vehicle entry systems throughout product life cycle. You will Conceptualize, Design, Engineer, Develop, and support the launch of next-generation vehicle platform architectures for electric vehicles.
- Lead vehicle entry hardware integration by developing, executing, and reporting on integration test plans for hardware components and system features to rapidly retire risk from new designs and provide feedback to development teams
- Define, test, and validate hardware and system requirements for vehicle entry components, system functions, and customer features
- Lead and manage integration of initial prototype systems including bring-up, debug, and engineering test of prototype bucks, labcars, and vehicles
- Optimize the performance of vehicle entry system through analytical and experimental means
- Create hardware and system product specifications for vehicle entry components, interface directly with suppliers to lead sourcing design activities
- Contribute to the development and validation of electrical architecture, perform trade studies to realize efficient design strategies and optimize for cost
- Drive functional safety analyses and decomposition of complex vehicle subsystems, create functional boundary diagrams and system interface specifications
- Support systems integration efforts with interface definition, development, and testing in collaboration with subject matter experts and other cross-functional engineering teams
- Utilize internal systems to document part releases
- B.S in Electrical, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent
- Five years experience in a similar role
- Experience and working knowledge of systems development, vehicle electrical architecture, functional safety, and component level integration planning
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to automotive concepts
- Experience designing and releasing electronic components from concept through production
- Proven debugging and diagnostic skills in electrical, mechanical, and software domains
- Experience with Vehicle Network Protocols such as CAN, LIN & Automotive Ethernet
- Experience with using RF measurement tools such as spectrum analyzer to characterize and diagnose component performance
- Experience with creating and executing component and system level test procedures
- Experience with requirements capture in requirements management software platforms (JAMA, etc)
- Excellent teamwork, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Hands-on experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, signal generators, power supplies, etc.)
- Experience with state of the art vehicle entry technology such as NFC & UWB
- Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA)
- Experience with electrical / electro-mechanical devices involving networked microcontrollers and embedded software
